Faces to go on tour Summer ’09?

In The Mirror this week Rod Stewart has made it clear that rumors of the Face’s reuniting in both the studio and going out on the road is not just a rumor.

Rod Stewart commented to the paper “It will be next summer and I am looking forward to it. It’ll be great.”

it has been asked by many if friend and band-mate Ronnie Wood would be up to the task, due to his recent personal dramas. To which Stewart replied “He is full of energy and very excited. We try not to mix our family problems with work.”

All surviving members of the band are expected to come together on the reunion.

Time to go back to work for the Faces?

IN The Independent’s Pandora column Henry Deedes, reports running into Rod Stewart and asking him if the rumors are true that the Faces are going to get back together. Deed’s went on to speculate that between Rod Stewart’s confirmation to him, that even he has taken a financial hit in these rough financial times, and the rumors of a divorce on the horizon for his long time friend and partner in the Faces Ronnie wood. A highly anticipated tour with fans at the ready support, may be just what the accountant ordered.

According to aristdirect.com, Rod Stewart has revieled that the Faces are set to go on tour. And notes this of course inclueds Ronnie Wood.

This is one of the first tangable validations that the Faces will be getting back together and going back out on the road.
