Ronnie Wood gives a report on the Faces reunion.

Reported in a number of papers and magazines this last week, was some positive feedback from Ronnie Wood about whether or not the Faces are a go once again.

Ronnie has confirmed that he spent some solid time in the studio with his old bad mates (Rod Stewart, Kenney Jones and Ian MCLagan) in the last week of November. They reportably spent the the time playing their old classics to see if the magic was still there.

Even though things are still very hush-hush, right down to the actual location of the rehearsal space, and that no dates for an album or tour have been alluded to, Ronnie Wood has shared his confidence that this will all lead to bigger things.

Ronnie shared with Rolling Stone Magazine “We’re ready to go. It’s like no time has passed by.” Ronnie also shared with the magazine that one of their first concerns is to who will play base. For the moment Rod’s tour basest has joined them in the studio (per rumors). But Ronnie did share one possibility that may be in play “There’s a lot of guest bass players that want to do it, including (Red Hot Chili Peppers star) Flea.”

To the big question of where and when this will get going, so as the fans who have waited 30+ years to see the Faces once again play, Ronnie Wood answered: “We just have to sort out when and where and drop all of the management egos and just do what we can… It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s availability sometime next year.”

  1. God works miracles and this s one for sure ! I was lucky enough to catch the Faces in Toronto in 1972.It was and still remains the best live rock act I have ever seen.Of course there all up there in age but these lads will still know how to put on a show. When I saw them in 72 they had a well stocked bar and waiter visable at the side of the stage and a small group of circus performers like jugglers, flame eaters, clowns, small trapeze act on and off the stage throughout the concert. It didn’t take away from there performance, just added a freaky cosmic angle.I was only
19 at the time but it’s in my mind like it was yesterday and I’m 55 now. This is like CHRISTMAS COME EARLY for me.Hopefully they will come to Toronto this summer ? If not I’ll travel to catch the show in the states.Catch the show if you can folks.I’ll bet they use the same stage cicus format this time,as a bonus.
