Rod Stewart Says “N0” To Faces Tour Expectations
This week there have been many reports in the press of Rod Stewart stating that there will be no Faces tour at this time
A Rod Stewart’s representative has told reporters there are currently “no plans” to reunite the Faces for a tour or album in 2009. A story in the Daily Mirror quoted guitarist Ronnie Wood as saying he and Stewart had written a full album’s worth of new Faces material during the holidays, while other reports have suggested that the band has already recorded an album including in this very blog.
But the Stewart camp told Rolling Stone Magazine “Rod did not do any recording” with his former band mate, now a Rolling Stone.
Ronnie Wood has been working on his own solo project, not a Faces album, the spokesperson added.
In an interview with Rolling Stone last month, Ronnie Wood said he’d had a “few fantastic rehearsals” with his old band the Faces, adding, “We just have to sort out when and where and drop all of the management egos and just do what we can. We know we can do it. It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s availability.”
True to the aim of this blog we will stick with the story for as long as news continues, where about a tour on the horizon or such as this, denials of the same.

I guess Rod is going to pussy-out again and continue putting out ridiculous music for the yentas of the north shore. As my friend Scott says, Jeff Beck should reunite with Beck and Page and have a kick-ass tour. Ron can save his energy for the next Stones tour. Plant and Stewart should do a stint in the Catskills.

It’s been a while since we have had anything to write on this blog about a faces reunion. But there has been a lot in the air about just what you describe. Sometimes even the Sun stumbles into real information.
